Unfair Rejection of Third party claim

I am writing on behalf of my father.

He was in an accident a month back. The other party involved had skipped a Stop street thus causing my father to hit her, She has admitted to being at fault and has apologized.

However outsurance has now rejected my fathers claim, after him having to phone on multiple occasions for feedback. Outsurance are saying he was not diligent. Outsurance have not been able to support the accusation and have not given anything in writing.My father tried to dispute the matter of the phone and was told he would need to get in touch with a lawyer as they are not willing to relook their final decision. My father had right of way as stated by the rules of the road. My father is on a disability grant from the government and cannot afford to fix his vehicle, he would not be able to purchase another.

I feel this situation has been handled unfairly, my father should be compensated in some way as was not at fault.
