Uncaring, Despicable Service in my time of need
<p>Below is the email I sent to Outsurance:</p> <p dir="ltr" style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13.696px; font-variant-ligatures: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2;">Mosa,</p> <p dir="ltr" style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13.696px; font-variant-ligatures: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2;">When we spoke on Thursday (24 November) you had promised that an assessor would visit my property within 24 hours. This to resolve an issue that I reported on the 16 November.</p> <p dir="ltr" style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13.696px; font-variant-ligatures: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2;">Recall that I told you that I logged a claim about this issue originally in August (Claim no ********** 86). Where that Assessor was of the opinion that there was no issue. Clearly an incorrect conclusion given the attached photos.</p> <p dir="ltr" style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13.696px; font-variant-ligatures: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2;">As it stands, I have been failed as a Outsurance customer in the following:<br />1) an incorrect assessment by your assessor in July/August<br />2) you have dispatched several service providers since I logged my claim with you. All that these service providers did was observe the damage and report back to you. Nothing has been done to resolve the issue.<br />3) you only requested an assessor when I called you last week paniced about the increasing damage to my property<br />4) you have not been in contact with me since last friday<br />5) the damage in my cellar is worsening given the rains in my area.</p> <p dir="ltr" style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13.696px; font-variant-ligatures: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2;">Please advise on the next steps here Mosa. I can't see how this is acceptable behaviour from my insurance company.</p> <p dir="ltr" style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13.696px; font-variant-ligatures: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2;">I'm frustrated at the lack of options I have as a customer as I watch the damage to my new property. I intend to log an official complaint in the morning. And following that, I'm going to contact the ombudsman.</p> <p dir="ltr" style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13.696px; font-variant-ligatures: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2;">Leigh-Ann Govender</p> <p dir="ltr" style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13.696px; font-variant-ligatures: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2;"> </p> <p dir="ltr" style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13.696px; font-variant-ligatures: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2;">To date:</p> <p dir="ltr" style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13.696px; font-variant-ligatures: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2;">Mosa's manager finally understood what my complaint is about. They thought I was claiming for damp wall: I put a claim through for flooding in my cellar; the damp wall is a result of Outsurance delays. The assigned an assessor; yet 6 days later: I'm still waiting for the assessor to contact me!</p> <p dir="ltr" style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13.696px; font-variant-ligatures: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2;">My cellar remains water logged; the damage is getting worse by the day. Going to the ombudsman is really just cold comfort now.</p> <p dir="ltr" style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13.696px; font-variant-ligatures: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2;"> </p> <p dir="ltr" style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13.696px; font-variant-ligatures: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2;">Outsurance: Shame on you!</p>
