Unable to solve our problem
In early January we had a break-in our bakkie a Chev. The left window was broken, the battery stollen and the wires from the computer box were pulled-out, the bracket that hold the wires were also broken. The vehicle was collected from our home on the 24th of January, taken be fixed. Within a week the bakkie was repaired and my wife went to collect the Car. When I wanted to drive it the I noted that the dashboard lights and engine light was burning. We took the car back, and I have shown then that the lights on the dash was burning, and mention that I think it has something to do with the computer box. The car was there for another week. My wife went back to collect the car again on the 11th of February 2022. I checked the car again and have noticed that nothing has changed. We notified panel beater immediately. I have also noted that the clamp for the wires that connected the computer box was still not properly fixed, only fixed with a cable tie. The response was that we had to service the bakkie. It was explained to them that is not the case, since various lights on the dashboard were burning. We then immediately contacted Outsource. They said that they will arrange for a diagnostic to be done on the vehicle. On we phone the panel beater and they said we must bring the car in, which we explained that we don’t want to drive with the bakkie since the lights on the dash are burning. They then explained that they are now waiting for instructions from Outsurance. We then contacted Outsurance, which we could not get hold of them, and left a message. Since we have received the bakkie back, we are unable to use the car. A bakkie that was in a 100% working condition before this incident, now are just standing, in the meanwhile we are paying insurance, and have our car back that we cannot used.
We have been with Outsurance for 21 years, and have always received excellent service, but what is happening now is not what we are use to. I urgently need someone the help and assist us. We have a bakkie that we cannot use. Could I also request that the bakkie also be send to someone that knows what they are doing.
One the Friday the 19th February we did forward a mail to the customer care department. On Monday the 21st February we contacted Outsurance to follow-up on the progress made. The operator informed us that he was unable to assist us, since the issue has been handed over the customer care department. On the 22nd we followed up with a mail again.
