Third Party Claim Problems
Hi,
At the end of October 2018, I was rear-ended by one of Outsurance's clients, and we have exchanged insurance details. I have filled my third-party claim and sent it through. In January 2019 I have made a followup on the claim and waited for a settlement offer.
When I received the settlement offer, they recommended that I take my vehicle to a specified panel beater to do the repairs (with a quote) for half the price of the initial quote I've submitted. I went to the panel beater to confirm if the settlement is accurate, from which I was responded by that it was the first time they heard about my vehicle and claim, and that the quote was not from the panel beaters.
The panel beaters then did an assessment on the vehicle and submitted it back to Outsurance to update the assessment documents. A couple days later I received an updated settlement offer without the updated assessment document, when asked for the documents ( which the panel beaters requested) I was told that I should accept the offer and take my vehicle to repair it at a different panel beater which is not Ford approved to do the repairs while my vehicle is still under the Ford Factory warranty, and risk voiding my warranty.
When I responded with the reasons, I have been ignored for a week.
Thank you!
