They will look for any excuse not to pay a claim.

I had a dog previously insured with outsurance and I had an issue with them however the matter was sorted out swiftly with management and it's only because of that manager that assisted me with understanding and care that I decided to insure my other 2 dogs with them.

I currently have 2 dogs insured with outsurance since last year. One of my dogs got injured and I took him to the vet. He's still recovering and it's been a toll. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with their nurse. She is rude and heartless. She initially insisted that my dog has cancer as she is a nurse and can read xrays very well and shes been advised by a vet that its cancer, a vet that hasn't even seen my dog. I have consulted with another vet who confirmed that by xrays alone cancer can not be confirmed and only a biopsy can confirm such a diagnosis. I recently took my dog to the vet on the 29/04/25 for his annual vaccinations. He was fit and healthy. I further consulted with another vet and a radiologist who both suggest that xrays and bloods alone isn't enough to conclude cancer in such a young healthy dog, only a biopsy can confirm cancer. However, outsurance has concluded that my dog has cancer and his claim will not be paid.

I feel like an absolute idiot trusting outsurance and I would never recommend them to anyone. Other insurances like oneplan was actually offering me cheaper premiums but I stuck with outsurance because of my previous incidence and fami****ity.

I've also noticed that their Facebook page is limited to who can actually comment on their posts and therefore are controlling their comments, don't believe any good comments that you read on their social media pages.
