Terrible Service - almost a month and claim still not finalised

Damages experienced at our home due to the storm in Durban on the 10th October 2017. Called Outsurance and notified them about damages. An assessor was sent out to our premises, and my mum told the assessor to wait she will call my father or myself to meet him and go through the damages with him, but he refused and said he can check it on his own. This was totally not acceptable. Anyways when I requested the scope of work I noticed things missing, and to date I haven't received an updated scope of work and neither have I been informed regarding refunding for payments I made to do emergency work to have a awning removed. I asked for warranty/guarantee information regarding the awning and confirmation that a similar one to what was installed will be replaced and no feedback received. Outsurance needs to urgently consult with their contracted company PP Construction to sort out this mess out urgently. I have a function at my home on the 18th November 2017 and I need all repairs completed prior to this. E-Mails to PP Construction fall on deaf ears so now I am worried about their service that they will offer.

Hello pranesh-sewnunan

The delayed repairs are so unfortunate which we sincerely apologise for.

Our claims manager made arrangements with the service provider to attend to the work, which has now been scheduled for this Saturday.

The payment for costs you incurred to secure the premises have been refunded to you.

We will monitor progress until the claim has been finalised.

Regards

Dinky
