Take responsiblity for your ****

Have you ever hoped for someone to get into an accident? It sound evil but thats what you may have to do when you're on outsurance just so that your car can get repaired quickly. My car was in an accident around the 28/29th February and I am still to this day without a car because outsurance insisted that the panel beater use second hand part. Not Genuine OEM or generic, but second hand. So the panel beaters basically has to wait for a car to get into an accident so that they can get parts to repair my car. Whats put injury to the wound is that everytime you call and ask them why the car is taking long they throw the panel beaters under the bus and act like its the panel beaters who are sitting on their laurels, meanwhile it outsurance's fault that I haven't had my car fully repaired. When I first found out about the second hand parts thing, And they go so far as to show that they undermine your intelligence and think you know nothing, because the first time I called and asked why the panel beaters say they're using second hand parts, a consultant by the name of Brendan acted surprised as if this is not something they do. He then called the panel beaters to see why the car is taking long and he obviously found out that its because they're waiting for second hand part that they insisted on because when he called me back he said well they do this because genuine parts are hard to find because the car is old. WHAT BULL! the car is a 2018 model whose parts are made in South Africa. Meanwhile my daughter's car which had similar damage took about 4 weeks to repair and its a 2012 model of a korean car with parts not made in South Africa, and they didn't use second hand parts. Now the panel beater put a second hand bumber (which wasn't in the scope of secondhand items) that has dents and scratches and the bottom panel dangling, so they basically replaced a damaged part with another damaged part and I refuse to have that on my vehicle and the bumper wasn't even part of the second hand parts list. Please stop insulting our intelligence and throwing your service providers under the bus and take responsibility! how immoral can an insurer get? Why would you insist on a second hand instead of genuine or OEM/alternative/generic, what manufacturers warranty do I have in this case? where's the certification? When I asked to get a breakdown of the costing, I was met with radio silence. NOBODY send through that info. To say I am disgusted at the why they are more that ready to shift the blame and have no regard for thier insured clients is an understament. My daughter's insurer admitted to their faults, even had the assessor go down to the panel beaters to see why it was taking a month to repair the vehicle and even assess the vehicle once the repairs were done and top of that even gave her a curtesy car and delivered it to our house because 4 weeks is also long. At this point I might as well switch to that insurance company.
