After deciding to claim directly from the person who caused the accident so that I did not have to pay the excess, it took me nearly three months of frustration. Finally after being offered 80% of the quoted repair costs I was annoyed as the 20% loss was more than my excess. I then went back to Outsurance and proceeded with the normal format. After being contacted by Lucia Sithole for the legal division and briefly explained the circumtances, she received my excess back from the 3rd party and my vehicle has not even been booked in yet for repair!
