STAY AWAY FROM OUTSURANCE!!

• My very first call/message to Outsurance was that my gate motor was not working properly and I would like to know if it is covered by Outsurance. I was assured it was and a claim will be registered. • They sent their supplier out who did not for one second mention that a motor is only covered under power surge or lightning damage. Instead, your supplier advised me to “straighten” the gate so that we can take the claim further. • Your supplier was willing to replace the motor if I gave permission to move it to another spot which was in the way of my car driving into the garage. • I fixed my gate because I was told to – invoice attached and now because it is too difficult for the supplier to “Resolve” the issue where the current motor stands, the feedback is that the motor has NOT incurred lightning or power surge damage.

Bottom line is – if I was told that motors are not covered for any “other” damage besides lightning / power surges, I would not have fixed my gate at my cost and would look at replacing the whole gate with a garage door and motor instead. The fact that I was lead to believe that “fixing” my gate would constitute a valid claim is uncalled for and *********.

All I received is a claim rejection notice. DO NOT JOIN OUTSURANCE!!!!!! I AM CANCELLING MY POLICY!!!
