Sometimes "you always get something out" has you getting out what you really didn't need :(

So i call King Price and OutSurance requesting insurance quotes. King Price made an offer which OutSurance then topped. Happiness! Time then comes for the confirmation of insurance letter to be sent through, it's sent and the car details are incorrect. I contact OutSurance and advise them of this. They send an update letter that is still incorrect. Third time lucky, all is well.

They then offer me their amazing tracker partner to install my tracker. I agree. They tell me not to worry as tracker will contact me. Nobody contacts me. I then call OutSurance back. I'm told it's not their problem as the tracker company operated independently. Sure, but I wouldn't be working with this particular one were if not for you suggesting that I do so. So? Anyway, after waiting and waiting and eventually calling tracker directly- all of this delaying my taking delivery of the car- tracker calls to arrange fitment.

Now it's time to convey the message to OutSurance that the tracker has been fitted. Since the start of the process, My premiums have increased and decreased about 3 times now. So I'm looking for any discount I can get. Call centre agent tells me to email the tracker certificate to a certain address and they will contact me to recalculate my premiums. He doesnt say when, so I assume it'll be an immediate thing, I send the certificate immediately. It's at least 5 days later now, no phone call from OutSurance. None whatsoever.

What must happen now? If this is how we start off our relationship, it doesn't bode well for our insurance journey ahead.

Above all, this is highly annoying as each of these calls are time-consuming and soul numbing. Nobody is interested in having to hunt down their insurance provider just to ensure the quote and cover is correct. Will I have to chase them down this much should something actually happen to the car as well???
