Slow response from Outsurance

On the 6th of Nov I called to correct some incorrect info on my funeral policy. The consultant i spoke to was supposed to correct the DOB on the 2 individuals covered on my funeral policy. Amendments were done but we both noticed that the monthly premium had gone up from R700 to almost a R1000. She then told me that she was going to forward this matter to the underwitter to resolve it. 24 hours later and still no feedback from Outsurance. My monthly premium has changed and the policy start date for the 2 individuals on my policy has also been changed from 26 Sep 2020 to 06 Nov 2025. Instead of this matter being resolved soonest, I keep getting calls to move my home and vehicle insurance to Outsurance. This is a clear indication of how your urgent matters will be treated during the time of need.

Reviewer Update
Cover start date for both my parents is still unchanged and now theres a waiting period of 6 months in case of accidental claim. The policy was taken out on the 26th Sep 2020 and not 06 Nov 2025. Today you also took R130 from my account which is the difference between the previous and the recently changed premium. Is this your way of making sure that our future claims are not approved?

Hello Tman

We are sorry the corrections were not made in time. Added this, it was most unfortunate that about the errors while capturing the detail initially.

Our client care manager contacted you with an apology. She also explained the reason for the pro rata debit order. After correcting the underwriting, a pro rata refund will be paid into your bank account.

Thank you for accepting our apologies.
