We logged a claim for a burst pipe on the 14th of May, it is now the 22nd of June, our bathroom is still a construction site. The plumber assigned smashed up a whole bunch of Marble tiles to find the broken pipe. I contacted outsurance to make them aware that the tiles were not easily replaced, however they assured me that they would bring everything back to as it once was. since then, even though a sample tile was handed over, outsurance have assigned a flooring company who placed an order for the incorrect size tiles to be cut from a slab of marble, and are now suggesting digging up the floors and rerouting pipes to accommodate the incorrect sized tiles. This process has hit a dead end, and nobody seems to know what to do know. Over a month and it seems nobody has an answer and a load of finger pointing going on. We were rushed for R3600 excess at the start of the process, but it seems that once they have your money you can wait months for them to decide how to fix the problem.
