Shocking 25% increase in premium (no claims during last 12 months)!

I have been an Outsurance client for many years and have always been more than satisfied with them. I never hesitated to recommend Outsurance to friends and family.

Unfortunately, that's no longer the case.

Outsurance decided to increase my building cover premium by 25% even though I did not submit a claim in the last 12 months. And after talking to them yesterday, they could not give me one good reason for the increase.

Perhaps it's because my OUTbonus is payable in 12 months, and they think I won't cancel my policy now? Or maybe they have started luring clients with low premiums and then nail them with a significant increase 12 months later?

Whatever the reason might be, I am very disappointed in them. I have gone from being a happy client to a very unsatisfied client.

Good day François,

We understand that receiving an annual increase comes as a disappointment.

Keo our client services manager called you to address your concerns regarding the rerate increase. Over and above claims, there are a variety of factors that will influence a premium increase at rerate stage such as inflationary adjustments, underwriting changes etc.

Thank you for your feedback. We do apologise for the disappointment.

Regards,
The OUTsurance Team
