Seeking amicably solution to consequential damages

Claim no ***refers. We suffered consequential damages and now OUTsurance refuses to accept the claim. My wife was involved in a car accident last year wherein my vehicle was damaged and she also suffered injuries. However, we only released the true extent of the damages later and is now considered consequential damage. Upon informing OUTsurance about the damage they are not willing to help us. We have been paying our monthly premiums faithfully, and now that we need them the most, they are unwilling to help us. The treatment is unfair toward paying clients. They informed us of the following: I must assemble my vehicle and take it to an engineer of their choice for an assessment and based on the findings of the engineer they will provide the way forward. This assessment must also be paid out of my pocket. WHY should I pay this out of my pocket?? After numerous phone calls to them, they informed me that I should send them pictures of the damages and that I will be treated as a Virtual assessment. I forwarded the pictures as per their request and now they deny that it is Consequential damages. This after 4 months of phoning them! I have been paying my premium faithfully during this ordeal. I am not happy with OUTsurance and consider to cancel my policy with them. They should write off my vehicle and pay the insured amount out to us. Also, important to note is that impact of *** caused this damage. The impact damaged the drive shaft and this, in turn, damaged the crank, these kinds of damages can only be noticed during long distances traveling on the highway. As we did not travel long distances we could not pick it up or noticed the damages. After we got the vehicle back from the initial impact (594632) we noticed that the wheels were not aligned and were told to take it to a fitment centre to do wheel alignment. This is now proof of the consequential damage that we suffered. When will you, Outsurance inform the South African Police Department that they should compensate us for the damages seeing that you don’t want to help us???? Refer to claim no *** where another private vehicle was also bumped by the South African Police department and this said the vehicle was written off by the owner’s Insurance company. What is wrong with Outsurance????? My vehicle was the first vehicle that SAPS bumped into that now you refuse to write our vehicle off. Not to mention the medical bills and damage to my boundary wall. Who will compensate us??? Awaiting feedback on how to solve this amicably.
