********

I made the mistake of moving to OUTsurance about a year ago. They phoned me a few months ago regarding the motor warranty plan. I took it to ensure that if something mechanical goes wrong it’s covered. Then it happened. My cars Radiator broke. I then got in contact with outsurance and they arranged for a tow truck to get my car to a workshop. That was great and everything went good, till they got the quote from the service provider to fix the problem. They where looking for a reason not to pay out, and so they found one. Telling me my vehicle service history was not up to date and that they won’t pay out for the damages. It’s wasn’t that it was over the mileage it was supposed to be serviced. It was because it was over the time it was supposed to be serviced. There is a very good reason for that. It was, and still is covid. The car didn’t travel as much as it did in normal times, so it was not serviced on the time it should have been. But was not over the mileage that it needed a service. So here is what I think of OUTsurance now. You want people to get covid and then spread it. You want people to drive around to get the vehicle mileage to the point of service in time, otherwise you not covered. With this made clear to me by OUTsurance I canceled not just the motor warranty plan but my whole policy. Did exactly what the name say. Get out as quickly as possible.

Your investigation officer has phoned and explained the situation. Unfortunately I’m not expecting the outcome. You guys said that it is manufactures reconditions. Even Nissan them self is understanding with there warranty rules because of Covid. Vehicles is not driving around because of lockdowns and so on. So your mileage won’t reach for a service in the time span recommend. And they still help there clients. Even if it is over the time. And that proves my point. OUTsurance don’t care about there clients. Only money. Because of your greed you lost a client and probably many more who will have the problem I had. It also showed me that you guys look for any reason not to pay out when it is needed. The only sorry I’ll except all my premiums refunded to me from the day I was APPARENTLY covered. Otherwise you know what you can do with your products.

Good day Danny,

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to look into the matter.

We take much pride in our service delivery and we can assure you we settle all valid claims.

Kevin our claims manager contacted you to discuss the claim in detail. As per the manufacturer's specifications, your vehicle needs to be serviced every 15000 km or annually, which ever comes first. Your vehicle wasn't serviced for more than a year and a half and the restrictions were lifted in the beginning of the year.  The T's and C's of the motor warranty states that in order to have a valid claim, the services must be carried out according to the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications and intervals for the specific model.

We are sorry for the disappointment.

Regards,
OUTsurance
