Roof, walls and floor for stand no 630 lerome thabeng section sau****rt North West. OT
My name is Elizabeth Serunye I have a home and a car insurance with out Surance. My problem is that they refuse to help me with the falling roof and cracks in the house that I experienced in June due to earth quake instead of he3i am accused of improper construction. Of which I was not informed of such when taking the policy and that my house does not meet their helping criteria. Today I heard several calls from them telling me that they have decided to cancel my policy. I refused them asking why did they sign me in from the onset and explaining myself again and again that the municipality claws of approval was not properly explained to me telephonically what it meant for me as I am in bundu was my house and stand is recognized as I have a stand card and house number. So that is what I am penalized with. So my question to them is why didn't they send the assessor before our confirmation and debit orders. They say they took my word for it I asked again why all this explanations and accusations when I am in need of their assistance. They say that I didn't take care of my house I am extremely offended and feel insulted because I am taking care of my hose walls and floor cracked. Please assist me in this matter for I am given until August 2023 to finale e my policy. Your assistance will be highly appreciated. My policy number is OT***5. My claim number is***
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
Further to our private response, we can confirm that Shaun our assessing manager contacted you. Shaun discussed the claim rejection in detail with you. Unfortunately, the roof was not built according to building regulations. It was also identified that the roof wasn't maintained. Defective workmanship and a lack of maintenance are policy exclusions.
The contract is based on good faith therefore the onus rests on the policy holder to check whether your property is maintained and free from defects.
We do apologise for the disappointment.
