*******! ****************!

I called Outsurance today to review my premiums. They increased them instead of decreasing based on the depriciating value of the car.

They reiterate the same aspects annually every time when I request for a review, pointing to the escalation of other factors. I raise the same point all the time that should anything happen to the car I have insured, I get paid out the amount compatible to the value car not according to the premium rate that is increased annually. They eventually relentlessly reduce the premiums after raising one these points.

I took the highest excess rate for flexibility of reducing the latter. This time around I was not assisted in getting a fair rate.

I feel that it's a complete *******, in a sense that an increase on an item that keeps on depreciating!

Good day Nombulelo,

We acknowledge receipt of your complaint and we would like an opportunity to address your concerns.

Keo our client services manager has been unsuccessful in his attempts to contact you. He has subsequently sent you an email notifying you of his attempts. Please respond to his email with a time and date that is most convenient for you.

You are correct, vehicles do depreciate on a yearly basis however the cost of spare parts and labor increases which will have an impact on premium. There are also other factors that will influence a premium increase such as claims, underwriting changes etc.

We will discuss in more detail once you respond to Keo's email.

We do apologise for the disappointment.

Regards,
OUTsurance

Best regards,
