I was insured with outsurance for over a year with my vehicle and I just got married and moved into a new home and wanted to put all of my assets under one insurance. I called outsurance for a quote and the premium they gave me to add my additional vehicle and household was over R2000. I sourced additional quotes and after recieving a better offer at stansure... I opted to cancel my insurance with outsurance. however I came to learn that even though I had not accepted the quote from outsurance, they have activated it without my consent and debited my account with an amount. I informed outsurance of this on the 1st of September and they promised to cancel everything and as I paid for my insurance on the 15th in advance.... They promised to refund my premium for September. It's been a month and a half ago and I still have received no refund. Iv called them a number of times and have been promised that it would be sorted out but it was all empty promises. The last person I spoke to that worked under Mr Naidoo... Promised that my refund would be paid out in the next 48 hours three days ago and I still received nothing. They also advertised that if they can't beat a qoute they would pay R400. They could not beat stansures qoute and simply told me that R400 was not applicable to existing customers. It was new items that I wanted to insure and they couldn't beat the qoute so they are advertising under false pretences. My insurance premium didn't go through one month as I changed my account that and even though I pay in advance they cancelled my insurance immediately and had to reinstate it. I never claimed from them once. For an entire year and the least that they could do after all their bad business is pay me my refund instead of making empty promises
