Rip-off

<p>My daughter’s iPhone 6 was ****** over the weekend. When I phoned OUTsurance to report the theft, I was told that because I did not update our cover from an iPhone 5 to a 6, they will only pay out the value of an iPhone 5. They did not even bother to get the case number, even after I asked the lady if she wants the case number. We have been paying a premium of R290.93, 3 times more than other insurance companies, on an OUTsured Value of R12 597.12 for the past +- 42 months, which is more or less R12 000.00 in premiums. OUTsurance is paying us R5 945.00 less the Basic Excess – what a rip-off. I don’t think it should matter what type of phone you use, if you are paying a premium on a certain value. Nice one OUTsurance, you should have told us the OUTsured Value is just for the show – it’s worth nothing and the only benefiting from this is OUTsurance in overcharged premiums</p>
