Towards the end of 2017 Outsurance made a payment to us against our business policy. About this time we requested that Outsurance please provide us with a letter of record (or statement) of the payment made to us, which among other summarizes the available cover, the excess deducted and, in terms of the policy the reason for the payment. In the normal course of business one would think that this type closure document is an obligatory part of due diligence, provided to clients for proper record keeping. Unfortunately as we have discovered from our dealings with Outsurance, our first e-mail request was “blocked” and our follow up e-mail request has gone unanswered. It is a pity that our interaction with Outsurance always seems like “pulling teeth” i.e. is especially difficult, is tedious, requires an extreme amount of effort by us or is done in the most difficult or unpleasant way possible. Is our request for proper closure really that difficult? Please can Outsurance provide us with a breakdown of the payment made to us and the reason why this payment was made against the policy. Thank you.
