Rejected claim on house insurance

We lodged a claim - Claim N? *** and the Assessor (Anton) came to the house.to do the assessment.<br> Thursday 6th August 2015 we received feedback that the claim was rejected because we lodge the claim too late and our house are built on soil which contains too much clay. This was never established when we bought the home at first. Secondly I phoned them today and spoke to Mbali to ask for a email on a letterhead to be sent to me so that I can share this bad feedback with my local newspaper as well as submit the same letter to the Ombudsman in this regard with no avail. Is this Outsurance policy that a claim can be too late? Is this Outsurance policy that our house is built on clay soil and therefor rejecting our claim?<br> <br>
