Refuse to pay a 3rd party claim

18 months have gone by and I am still waiting for Outsurance to settle a claim where their client damaged my motor vehicle rendering it undrivable until it is repaired. They refuse to admit that their client was at fault in order to not pay the claim. The reference claim number is ********** 00. I am in a desperate situation now as I have lost the use of my families only motor vehicle.

Outsurance are refusing to pay the claim because they claim that there is no witness. They are doing this after a period of 18 months has elapsed. If this were the case, why did they string me along for 18 months. It is most upsetting and most annoying and they have no respect. They also sent me a letter in June last year saying that I must do an affidavid at the police station which I did. They have messed me around for 18 months. My car has been damaged by their client and they are refusing to pay for the damages.

Good day,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

Elizna our legal manager contacted you to discuss the merits of the claim in detail. She informed you that without any independent witness we cannot go forward.

Sorry for the delay.

Thanks, Kelvin

Will be going to the Wits Law Society who advise that not only are you responsible for payment of the claim, but that you are also responsible for loss of business income.
