Refusal to pay claim

I had a car insurance with outsurance last year. So I changed banks, but I forgot to change their debit order to my new bank. I was involved in an accident, and when I claimed, they told me about the one undebited premium. I tried to negotiate with them to deposit into their account so my insurance can be up to date, but they refused. So I had to pay for the damages myself. It was just the one premium that was not paid - but because of their refusal, I paid the damages. Needless to say, I cancelled the insurance and went to another company. Their customer service was so bad.

Good afternoon Bobby,

Thanks for your feedback.

We understand that the outcome of your claim is disappointing.

When payment was not received an sms was sent to you to notify you of the non-payment and resubmission date where the debit
order would be reattempted.

We informed you of the 15 day grace period that we apply if premium is not received and since payment was still not received after this period we were unfortunately not able to cover your claim.

We are sorry for the disappointment.

Regards,
OUTsurance
