R400 Payout Falsified by Outsurance Employees

I got a call from an Outsurance employee named Tremaine (sales department i believe) on the 5th September 2017, for the R400 quote promotion the insurance is running. Upon answering all the questions he posed for the quotation, he stated that my premium with Outsurance would approximately be R 3 400. The current policy I hold has a much lower premium, which obviously meant that I was now owed R 400. Upon me informing him of this, he stated he would call me back and immediately dropped the call. I called back the next day asking for this Tremaine and upon being transferred to him, he was not the courteous professional i had dealt with the day before, and pretended he did not know what I was talking about. I escalated this matter to an employee named Sello Moepye who stated that the link i was supposed to be sent via email was not sent because my details were captured incorrectly. I eventually got sent the link, followed it and was later asked to send the policy I hold with my current insurance, and i happily sent it to both Sello Moepye and Slindile Mqadi (who was now involved with my quote). Today (20Sept 2017), I get a email from Slindile Mqadi who stated that I do not qualify for the R400 cash back promotion, as their like-for-like comparison has revealed. I called her and ask which information she is looking at, as the information that i furnished to Tremaine was complete and accurate. She said she was re-filling the quote captured by Tremaine as some of the information he captured was incorrect. Although the T&Cs do state that a like-for-like comparison will be made before a payout, I asked where the originial call and quote for R 3 400 was, and I did not understand when she said she could not find it?? Surely quotes made with potential customers cannot just disappear or be amended at will?? I finally asked her numerous times who as at fault for filling in the incorrect information and whether the innocent party had to suffer because of this. Tremaine did not bother to call back in order to ensure that he had captured the correct information. Based therefore on the initial quote, i am very deserving of the cash back based on the initial call (which is essentially a tacit agreement that Outsurance makes with its quotees). I am not happy with the service from the call centre, as it has beeen slow and unprofessional. I had attempted to escalate a number of times before being taken seriously, only to have my claim denied for an error I did not even commit.

Reviewer Update
Good day I have since emailed the Promotions Manager, who responded this morning by giving me a call. She explained that there was a misunderstanding, apologized and asked for my banking details. This should therefore be resolved soon. Thanks for the response - glad to hear from you. Best regards Didi Bojosi
