R1500 SMS campaign a big ****

I received an SMS from Outsurance inviting me to do a quote and if they can't beat what I'm paying, they claimed that they would give me R1500.

They did not beat what I was paying and they have since disappeared. After about 3 weeks since doing the quote, I contacted them via email.

My emails were ignored for almost a week. I eventually got a reply from a Shantz Johnson, who requested that I send my policy documents. I did as requested.

A follow up email from Shantz Johnson was that s/he noticed a Bidvest account on my MiWay policy whereas I submitted a Capitec account for them to pay the money in.

Not that I need to explain, but my Bidvest account is a business account where I pay all my assets and liabilities. OUTsurance has no business in where or how I pay my current insurance and other liabilities.

I gave OUTsurance my Capitec account which I use for small transactions. I hardly use this Capitec account except if I suspect ***** and ****s. I gave OUTsurance that account number in case their promotion is one of those many online ****s that tries to ***** people's personal information.

They are now requesting my 3 months business account statement and a certified copy of my ID. It doesn't take a genius to spot a **** when I see one.

Logic dictates that my business account has nothing to do with OUTsurance. How I pay my current insurer has nothing to do with OUTsurance. It's easy to tell that this is not a legit campaign but an identity theft ****. If the campaign was legit, they would use what I gave them.
