Querry gone wrong

I contacted outsurance with regards to car hire information that is on my policy which stated a manual vehicle instead of automatic car hire, after speaking to the agent, she says that my premuim has increased by R500.00 rands and this is due to security questions that was asked and one of the questions was arround wether I was married / divorced and because I told them that I was divorced my premuim then increased to R500 rand more than waht I am paying now, this is ridiculos as the querry was about the car hire, I asked to speak to senior person and she put me through to Lindi Lee when I querried this with Lindi she couldnt explain why my premiums increased. Sjhe said she will have to look into the issue and I was told that its effective from the 31 January 2015. Please can I get feedback with regards to how this is possible as this does not make any sense to me and all I was doing was querring my car hire
