Problematic and stressful insurer who treats paying clients badly

I have been with Outsurance for over 20 years. I am paying over R50 000-00 in annual premiums towards policies with Outsurance. This company has caused me more headache and stress, when dealing with them and lodging claims. Our property was broken into on the 26th January 2024 (Friday). We had contacted and informed Outsurance of this and to lay a claim, on the 27th January 2024 (Saturday). We were advised that nothing could be done as it was the weekend and an assessor will be sent through on Monday. We had called Outsurance again on Monday to get the assessor sent. When we called Outsurance and provided them with my Identity number, they insisted that the property was not insured with them. This caused unnecessary stress to me as I then became of the opinion that my property is not insured and also as to who I was paying my premium to. Eventually we got our policy number and called Outsurance back on Monday, and they picked up the property and confirmed that it is insured. This is an unnecessary stress caused at this point. Eventually, on Tuesday (30/01/2024) the assessor did come on the property and saw the damages caused. This would've indicated to him that they will have to work fast as he saw that it was not possible for anyone to stay on the property due to the damages caused. The assessor then asked us for all the necessary numbers to do his investigations (and treat us like we are dishonest clients). This was provided to him immediately with the requested documents. He then asked us questions which was included in the documents, which clearly indicates that he did not bother to go through the documents he requested. It must be noted, that no one could stay on the property because the doors, windows and roof was damaged. We had received no feedback or information on the 31/01/2024. On the 01/02/2024 we had contacted the insurer and notified them to please deal with the matter speedily as more damage is being done to the property due to Outsurance lack on treating the matter with urgency. When we called and notified Outsurance of this, then the assessor called those he wanted to speak to, to investigate. After that, nothing was done. Then I received a call from the assessor on the 03/02/2024 requesting for the municipal bill and police report. Why was he asking for this now and not when he initially asked for the other documents previously? This shows the incompetence of Outsurance as an insurer. Despite us telling Outsurance and the assessor the issues and to please work quickly, they still are taking their time and not informing me of what’s happening. I had to call the assessor again today, to be told that they will be sending another assessor to the property. Why? Do you always treat your clients as rogues? The damage being done on the property since we informed Outsurance is far more worse than when we had informed Outsurance, solely due to the failure of Outsurance to act timeously. There is no concern by this horrible company on what its client’s going through, and they do not care to resolve issues quickly and putting unnecessary stress on us client’s. I do not know how much longer Outsurance is going to take, which will cause me much more headache and stress, with more damage being done on our property due to the failure of Outsurance not caring one bit for thier clients. Outsurance don't even deserve a 1 star review.

You have rep**** saying you have escalated it to an assessing manager yesterday morning. Till now, we have not received any response other than your reply here. Do you know what damage is being done on the property because of your failure to act in a timely manner. Your worthless company is causing us more stress and headache than anything else
