Poor service from Outsurance

I have had my household contents insured with Outsurance since 2006. Initially, they were helpful, but more recently my interactions have been most unsatisfactory. I had a glass table on my patio broken by a gardener on the 16/10/2017 and assumed that this would be covered by my insurance. Not so! When I phoned to lodge a claim I was informed that it was classified in the category of Garden furniture and leisure equipment. When I requested a supervisor the experience deteriorated even further. I queried the classification of my patio table as leisure equipment and Donovan, the so-called supervisor, ended up raising his voice to inform me that Outsurance was the top insurer and that it had fewer complaints to the ombudsman than all the other insurers. Was this relevant to Outsurance rejecting my claim? Since when is a patio table either leisure equipment or garden furniture. I recently had my iPhone ****** in a restaurant----also not covered under the category of Out and About. Similarly, an iPad ****** from a 4X4 was not covered on the grounds that the bag was not in the boot and also that cars which are jammed are not covered. Since when did 4X4 vehicles have boots? Outsurance need to seriously jack up their service and their staff need to be reminded that it is the client who pays their salary ----the client is most certainly there to be abused! Even if a claim is legitimately rejected, the client at least deserves to be treated in a courteous manner
