Poor service

I registered a claim due to lightning damage.

I have been with Outsurance for 8 years and this is my second claim and what a bad experience.

First I was told by one consultant that the items would be replaced, then another consultant took over and arranged with a company called Golden Mile to collect the damaged items and do an assessment on them. I did inform the consultant that I could not let the Apple Mac Mini be taken out of the house since it was only the HDMI port that is faulty and that I still need to work on it. I also asked if they can send a service provider to do an assessment at our premises, which was refused.

Golden Mile collected the 2 x Dell monitor`s which was also part of the claim. Golden Mile delivered the monitor`s back again saying they cannot find any fault on the 2 X Dell monitor`s.

I tested both the monitor`s in the presence of the delivery person at our premises. The 2 monitor`s did not function 100% and the delivery person took them back. He then also collected the Apple Mac Mini and when he disconnected the Bose sound system from my LG 55” 4 K LED TV, the HDMI port on the TV was damaged because he unplugged everything while the power was still on.

The TV is still in a working condition although HDMI port 1 now does not work. I reported this and again was told they cannot send a service provider to the premises and that Golden Mile will collect the TV. This time my husband refused to let them take the TV out of the house. We made use of Solvetech Electronics to give us a quotation to repair the LG TV. The main input PCB assembly needs to be replaced. The cost involved is R5 850.00. My question is who is responsible for this cost ?

Again Golden Mile returned the 2 x monitor`s saying they still cannot find any fault with them, I then called Solvetech Electronics again to come and assist. They tested the 2 monitors. The HDMI ports does not work on the monitors and as they are uneconomical to repair, I will have to buy 2 new monitors at my own cost. Again there was a call out fee that I had to pay.

The Bose sound system and the Apple Mac Mini was replaced by Outsurance but I am still sitting with 2 faulty monitors and a downgrade on the Mac Mini which I think is unacceptable.

The damaged Mac Mini had 16gb DDR3 ram and a 512gb Solid state state hard drive. The replacement only have 4gb DDR3 ram in and a normal 500gb hard drive. The CPU is also smaller. The damaged Mac mini had a Intel Core I5 2,5ghz CPU in and the replacement the Intel Core I5 1,4ghz CPU.

Outsurance made me feel like a ******** for using what I pay for. Me and my husband are very disappointed in Outsurance.
