Poor, poor performance and service from Outsurance
One of my insured vehicles with outsurance was involved in a motor vehicle accident the 24th January 2018. Immediately i reported the accident to outsurance and started the process to have my vehicle repaired. I reported to the outsurance centre to have the damage assessed as requisted by outsurance. Once completed i requested the centre to forward me the quote for the damage, so they did. The same quote from the outsurance accredited centre was submitted to outsurance by the centre provider. I received a shock when outsurace mailed me their assessed amount on my vehicle damages that they are going to cover for the repairs. The outsurance service provider quoted the damage to my vehicle to the value of R60 000-00 and odd cents. Outsurance mailed me their assessed value which they calculated to the amount of R27000-00 and odd cents. I then mailed outsurances assessed value and the quote from their service provider to the assessor as per thier assessed document to ROWEN ROSE on the 5th February 2018. To date, 26th February 2018 no reply from Outsurance on my mailed request for clarity on this matter. Also till to date, 26th Fberuary 2018, my vehicle is not repaired!!!!!!!!! and i still do not know why there is such a huge discrepency between the outsurance assessor and their service centre where my vehicle was assessed in the first place. This is the first time since my history with outsurance that i initiated a large claim for a motor vehicle acciddent/damager, must say this is realy a poor show!!!!!!
Good day,
It was obviously concerning to read that there was such a big discrepancy between the 2 reports.
Danie our assessing manager called you to discuss the 2 reports in detail. Your vehicle is out of warranty and thus our report included certain non-genuine parts whereas our service provider included all genuine parts. They had also included other parts that were not specified on your policy.
You informed Danie that you will proceed to claim against the 3rd party.
Thank you,
Kelvin
