Policy Premium affected by your Marital status

As a client of Outsurance for 4 years, I have never been so disgusted as I am today. Updating your Marital details affect your policy, as I was informed that being single/ divorced makes me a "risk" as I am no longer reporting to someone at my house anymore, which leaves me the freedom of going to buy bread for 5 hours and coming home later than usual.

That leaves the question of.. Is this a kind of ************** against people who are Single/ Divorced? Because we have no one to report to at home or have freedom of going places, I am only insuring my movable assets with your company not my Marital status and I personally feel that this should not affect any premiums in anyway what so ever on my policy.

This is ridiculous!

Good day zellies1,

We fully understand your concern and our intention in definitely not to offend you. Data shows that there is a difference in claims amongst people with different marital statuses which would impact on premium.

Earl our Client Services Manager contacted you to apologise for your bad experience and he addressed all your concerns.

Sorry that we let you down.

Thank you,

Kelvin
