POLICY CLAIM AFTER DEATH - NO PAYMENT

My husband died during 9 October 2016 off a heart attack. He took out a life insurance policy during 2 ********** . Outsurance declined to pay out any amount of the policy since his death due to them stating he did not informed them of high cholesterol which he did not have when he app**** of the policy. I have app**** to numerous agencies to recover any amount of the policy. The Ombudsman ruling stipulated that Outsurance is in default and must pay out the policy claim. They refuse any payout of the policy. What they advertise and customer service that the give are untrue. Think twice before you take out any policy with them.

Good day  margaretkannemeyer,

We are terribly sorry to read about your loss. The last thing any person would like to hear after a tragic loss, is that your claim has been rejected.

Stefan our assessing manager contacted you to discuss the claim in detail. There were discrepancies that were identified and this had an impact on the cover.  We firmly believe that the claim is not valid in terms of our agreement with our client and we have responded to all the objections made to us and provided all relevant parties with the information.  We did pay back all premiums paid.

We do apologise for the disappointing feedback.

Regards,
OUTsurance
