Pirate Parts on a car that is 3 years old!
My 2014 Suzuki Swift GLS was involved in an accident. Outsurance approved the replacement of "alternative" body parts. Their justification is that it is an older vehicle and the factory warranty has expired. I enquired if they would do the same for my Lexus which is also a 2014 model and guess what..... I did not ask for new original parts and I surely did not ask for pirate parts (which the Insurance Ombudsman apparently supports). Be that as it may, perhaps my pirate monthly premiums may find another insurer with who I will at least know from the onset what to expect.

Marius our claims manager contacted you to discuss when we would use alternative parts and that we won't use alternative parts on brakes, shocks and any other safety parts. Marius has also informed you that your vehicle is currently being repaired at our service provider and before the vehicle is released a full check is done to ensure everything is working 100%.
