Pet insurance policy is a complete waste of money

I have been a loyal customer of Outsurance for many year. I recently took out pet insurance as all my short term policies are with them. I specifically asked if it would be covered if I got my puppy spayed and was told it would. when it got to the claim part, I was told that it falls under routine care which they only pay R800 per year for. Now I would like to understand if you have to vaccinate your dog once a year how would it ever be covered. Also you can only claim once from that R800 so even if you claim only R100 you cannot claim the balance at a later stage. How can Fixing a female dog be routine care?????? Don't fall for this. I'm seriously thinking of moving all my policies after about 10 years because of this blatant false advertising by the consultant that sold me this policy. Please also find me a Vet in this country that only charge R800 for spaying a female dog.
