PET INSURANCE IS A CON

If I could give minus stars I would!! When I joined Outsurance Pet Insurance I was told that EVERYTHING would be paid for once my dog had gone through the 12 month waiting period due to a pre-existing skin condition. After the 12 months, I submitted my first claim and then another and the 3rd one was refused. I queried it and they said I had used all the benefits for the pre-existing/chronic condition. I have asked for the initial recordings of when I took up the insurance where the advisor told me that everything would be paid for no matter what, even though I would be submitting a monthly claim. I am still waiting for the recording more than a year later. I was called a month ago and told that some benefits were being removed from my policy, i.e. the chronic and the routine benefits and that my premium would be reduced by around R250 per month. I then received my annual renewal stating that my premium was more than doubling. I called to query the amount and I was promised a call before the end of the business day and once again, I am still waiting for a response. Initial premium: R600 (with all benefits) Annual Renewal premium: R743.58 (with all benefits) Premium with benefits removed: R495.97 Annual Renewal premium with benefits removed: R1,324.21 and this, all because I dared to claim. What a con!!!
