Pay and you might get something OUT
We had a break-in during the early morning of Wednesday 15/7 whereby the persecutor also took my car keys . They stole various belongings from my car as well as the car radio. I phoned Outsurance in order to get details about claiming. The consultant told me that I need to pay the basic excess. He mentioned that I should have specified the radio which would have made the excess less. When initially taking out the insurance I was not made aware of this so the consultant said he would have to listen to the audio. I requested the audio as well as the ombudsman forms. Nothing happened on Thursday through to Sunday. I gave my negative rating on Monday 20/07. On Tuesday I received a call from the consultant's supervisor. One of the things he said were that any insurance company will rather want to benefit form a claim at the end of the day and not pay out because their doors need to stay open. How will you keep you doors open if you don't have any customers? The conversation continued with me saying that I am in two minds whether I want to stay on with Outsurance and there was no attempt of retaining me as a customer. He said he will now close the claim without offer any further support.
