Pathetic Service
I'm highly upset with OUTsurance. I have been a client with them for over 10 years. I had an accident in February and my car was written off. They paid me out and I then purchased a brand new vehicle. They called me to put my excess up from R5600 to R11 000 which I did not agree too. On the 1st of July I parked my car off at my boyfriend and we took an uber to go out. When I got back 3 of my windows were smashed and the windscreen and the bonnet and right hand side door had been damaged. The police say it was malicious damage. The accessor was sent out and my claim was put through. I then got a call from a lady named Zuki who informed me that they will be cancelling my insurance and that I am now noted on the system as high risk. My 2 previous claims were in 2021 which were for my windscreen. I don't understand why am I flagged now as being high risk as the damage was done to my car and I was not there or driving the car. Also being a loyal client with OUTsurance why are the cancelling my insurance? I have never had any payments lapse. I find this appalling as I am a single mum who now needs to start this process all over again with a new insurer. I would never recommend OUTsurance to anyone after the way I have been treated.
Thank you for your response.
We are fully understanding of the disappointment.
The frequency of claims within a specific period of time will indeed influence our decision to notify a client of being a multi claimant. This process will cause the excess amount to increase. This was discussed with you in March.
You subsequently submitted your current claim and considering purely the past 2 years, you have already submitted 4 claims. The latter resulted in the policy cancellation.
We need to make these harsh decisions, in order to continue offering reasonable premiums to our clients.
We requested our client care manager to contact you and discuss your concerns further.

I am highly frustrated, today is the 10th August and my car is not ready. The panel beater says that the parts have not even arrived in SA yet and estimated date has changed from the 16th of August 2023 to the 20th of August 2023 and this could still change again.
I have car rental till the 20th August. OUTsurance needs to sort out my car or extend the rental car as I am a single mum. I have received an email from Merriam Monnakotla that states unfortunately you do not extend the car hire. This is not my fault and I want a superior to contact me and sort this out.
