Pathetic from Outsurance

I am very disappointed with the outcome of my 3rd party claim with Outsurance. I actually considered them at one stage, but now that ship has sailed.

I own a VW Polo Playa which I'm now driving for my 11th year. Well looked after, no issues. One Saturday morning, car parked where it's always parked for the last year in our complex, driver just drives into the back of my car, looked at his phone or whatever. We go through with a 3rd party claim, the driver is with Outsurance and they ask me to get quotes with designated panelbeaters. Damages comes to R28000, my car is retail value of R 33000. So write off. THEN phoned them -They tell me that they will pay me out an amount of R21000 to fix my car and I get to keep it, I agree because I've done my homework and that's roughly what it would cost to fix. JUST to receive an email that states - sorry but the amount we gave you was wrong, we corrected it and it's now only R14000 pay out. So half of what the panelbeaters quoted and R7000 less than what they originally told me over the phone. So I must now come up with the rest to get my car fixed? This is just really pathetic. Their client damages my property and I have to pay...
