Pathetic and incorrect information provided

My building insurance was with outsurance. I moved over to outsurance in August 2024. I submitted a claim for my sliding door. One side shattered. I was advised that the excess is R4240. This was 24 December. Pg glass came out to measure as per the insurance request. I was advised that if the alexcess is to much we have the option of either replacing the glass directly with Pg glass if we cannot afford the excess. I ended up canceling the insurance due to the high excess. Pg glass called me today 6 Jan to advise that the 1st email received from outsurance on 24 Dec excess amount is zero/nil. This comes after I cancelled my policy due to the exorbitant excess amount. If the proper information was provided to me to begin with when I submitted the claim. I would not have gone so far as to cancel my insurance. I am disappointed that incorrect information was provided to me when I submitted this ***

I received a call from Outsurance on Wednesday 8 Jan at 9:17am advising that there was a mistake regarding my claim from the consultants side regarding the excess payment. I was advised PG Glass will make contact with me to arrange an appointment to install the glass. To Date I have not received a call from PG glass to arrange a date and time for the glass/Window to be installed
