Painful waste of time…. For nothing!!
I did a quote for pet insurance, after deciding on going with another provider after they expected me to send over 10 years of claims history to them, should have been the first sign to run!
The consultant asked if he could get a colleague to call me for a comparative quote and if they couldn’t match it they would give me R500 I said ok thought got nothing to lose, if it’s cheaper great…. We take it….. if not we still score for our time.
My husband still warned me they would find some excuse to not pay if they couldn’t beat the cover, guess he was right!!
Our current insurance is R1300 Outsurance quoted R1800 with a higher excess could get it to R1700, so I said so you can’t beat it can I get the R500?
I was told “oh no that’s only if you do a quote for vehicle insurance” Really! So why didn’t she say this up front so we didn’t waste 46 minutes of our lives!!!
Pathetic marketing **** to get people to waste their time!! Shame on you Outsurance!!

Our promotion which non clients can participate in is unfortunately not applicable to pet cover. Our advertising also makes no mention of pet insurance.
