OUTsurance’s Unfair Treatment – Paying for Someone Else’s Mistake

I am extremely frustrated with how OUTsurance handles third-party claims — it feels like they simply do not pay.

On 9 January 2026 at approximately 18:30, one of OUTsurance’s clients collided with my vehicle at a roundabout. I was travelling straight in the right-hand lane when their client turned right from the left lane without indicating. She came from outside my line of vision, meaning there was no possible way for me to avoid the accident.

I have clear photo and video evidence showing that she was in the wrong lane and did not indicate.

I am a student, and my car is my only form of transport. This situation has placed me under serious financial and emotional stress. I even kept my repair costs as low as possible — just under R15 000 — yet OUTsurance still refuses to assist in any way with the damages caused by their client.

It is extremely unfair that I am expected to carry the financial burden for an accident I did not cause.

I urgently request that OUTsurance reviews this matter properly and takes responsibility. I simply want a fair outcome based on the facts.

Good day Larae

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to address your concerns and assist in resolving the matter. A legal manager, Lesego has been in contact with you and has explained how the settlement works when our client is at fault and has acknowledged how we could have done better. We can confirm that a common ground has been reached on how your damages will be apportioned. He will now wait for you to provide us with the outstanding information so we can assist further.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience we’ve caused you.

Regards,
