Outsurance.. you don't always get something out.

After logging a claim for a burst geyser, Outsurance sent their service provider around to assess my claim. I was informed that the geyser had burst and was out of warranty. After making a phone call I was informed that the excess was R2380. After paying the excess the geyser was replaced. The following day I saw in the local newspaper that the same geyser is available for R1949. I called Sibusiso Thanjekwayo who explained that the agreement with the provider is R3000 for the geyser and R2000 for installation. I told him that I found this unacceptable as the geyser costs less than my excess.. He said it was their procedure and there is nothing that he can do. I asked him to get a manager to call me to resolve this. After another couple of phone calls and 2 E-Mails, I still cannot get a manager to talk to me. Not only was I ********** by their service provider but i also loose my R10 000 no claim bonus.

Outsurance....where you always get **********.

The poor manner in which your query was handled led to a valid service complaint which we sincerely apologise for!

Our claims manager, Kelly contacted you and discussed your concerns. She comfirmed we did not purchase the item on the special you referred to. She discussed our service level agreements with our suppliers and also explained why you would not have been able to purchase and have the geyser installed at a cheaper rate.

Please don't hesitate to contact Kelly directly should you have any further enquiries hereto.

Regards

Dinky
