Outsurance using any lame excuse not to cover the claim, roof not maintained is their favorite excuse!!!
Good Day, I wrote this email on the 30th and till today I do not have any response from you.
The response below is noted, however I do not accept the outcome of this assessment on my property;
1. The property is well maintained, this was done in October, I have all the receipt of the purchases of the paint(water paint) used to paint the roof, I have showed your assessor the empty buckets and he acknowledged that its a good paint for the roof, I can even provide you with the video footage and pictures of the day the roof was cleaned and painted, I had ensured that my house is well maintained before rains could start.
2. I have informed your assessor before he can start that the house is maintained and he agreed, because I know is one of the excuses he uses every time he comes to my house that I do not maintain the house, he also mentioned that our conversation is recorded, I need that recording.
3. Your assessor mentioned that the claim will be rejected due to the fact that it was not a "storm" that caused the roof leakage, I then asked him if the property is insured only in case of a storm and he said yes, I was shocked by this because this was not mentioned to me when I took the cover otherwise I could have went to another insurer.
4. The previous claim of a ceiling leakage was not caused by storm but rather heavy rains and this was covered, I asked him about the incident, he then said the insurance was not supposed to cover that, instead they did me a favor, I was shocked by this response because I am not aware that I am paying my monthly premiums for "favors".
5. I am currently pregnant and due at anytime from now, I had hoped that Outsurance will give me a peace of mind incase of any incident to my property, I truly do not even have any strength to fight for this hence I took long to even respond, however, I am extremely disappointed and worried with the roof as it has now caved in and collapse at any time, thus putting myself and my unborn child at risk.
6. The assessor who came to my house seem a bit irritated and in a rush to go somewhere else, he totally does not have any patience with client, I even started to think that he is disrespecting me, and also used any lame excuse to reject the claim, when he left he said it will not be approved because it was not storm damage, but now on the report he says the roof is not maintained.
7. I am starting to think that your assessor get performance bonuses by rejecting our claims, because what this report entails is totally ridiculous.
8. I therefore request that this be reviewed urgently as I am at risk with my unborn child.
