OUTSURANCE ******* - ******* STOP ORDERS ON ACCOUNT
If I could go in the negative I would! In December 2023, I called Outsurance looking for a quote, I spoke to a nice gentleman, assisted me and I got a product that would start in February 2024. When I went back to check against my existing policy, I realised that what I thought was a good deal, was actually not a good deal. So, I sent an email asking for the Outsurance Policy to be canceled, this was on the 18th of December. On the 21st, an agent called me and I asked him to cancel my policy. He gave me the assurance that the policy had been canceled. I checked on my account and there was no debit order mandate for Outsurance. Imagine my shock when on the 1st of February R4692.02 went out of my account to Outsurance! A whole R4692.02! I called outsurance and while trying to convince me to stay on, they were claiming that I would be refunded the next day with my full amount. A few minutes later, another lady called me from Outsurance, apologising and promising me a cheaper quote for R4316.26. I told her to send me the documents, and asked her to call me back on the 5th of February. Imagine my shock when I check my account on the 4th of February and my R4692 refund was not there and instead, they had gone ahead and debited me R4316! So now I am R9K out of pocket because of Outsurance. I call this morning and I am directed to a very patronising and rude agent who has the audacity to just sit there quietly and say "I am still here"! While not assisting me or explaining to me. At this point, I do not want an explanation. I managed to get my bank to reverse both ******* stop orders, but I am appalled at OUTSURANCE! APPALLED!
