Outsurance signs up policies **********ly

Lodged a claim a week ago. A week and half later i am told that a small portion of my claim will be settled only. The broker sat in my office and sold me a business policy for which he was well aware that my alarm system is not in place. So now when i claim only a small portion is paid out using the reason of no alarm system. So i was sold a policy **********ly? Misrepresentation on the brokers side? They gladly took my money. payout partial claim but decline the balance because i do not have an alarm system which the broker acknowledged when he signed me up. The broker offered me a better premium for my vehicle with a tracking device, i declined it and went with a higher premium with another company who didnot require a tracking device, So why then sign me up and say he acknowledges no alarm yet decline the claim based on the very reason he acknowledged.

Good day Daisy,

Thanks for raising your concerns with us.

Dawie our claims manager has been in contact with you to address your concerns and to discuss the settlement in detail with you. Please note, you signed the record of advice which indicated that you had an alarm system. Dawie has responded to your objections made to us and provided you with the information.

We are sorry for the disappointing outcome of your claim.

Regards,
OUTsurance

So your broker sits in my office when writing up my policy and acknowledges that I do not have an alarm and states that he notes it yet he writes up something different on the policy? That amounts to what?.... *****? Misrepresentation? So now my business must close its doors because your broker was too greedy for his commission. No provisos noted on the document yet NO ALARM BUT HIS NOTES STATES THAT THERE IS! Your broker Craig Reddy is clearly not compliant to be fit and proper as per the FAIS requirements. I will definitely be taking this matter further. Also maybe teach your claims managers to actually sit in with a broker on their meeting with their clients..... A record of advise is NOT perused on the laptop before a client signs. A discussion is had and then a white screen is presented to the client to sign. Its is only much later if not the next day that the record of advise is mailed to the client! Outsurance are nothing but thieving ******!!!!! Hide behind the fine print when your broker tells you otherwise when signing up the policy!
