Outsurance service not good

Last year the top of our glass stove got a crack we wanted to claim but the stove top cost R1 200.00 excess fee for Outsurance R2600.00. We did not claim. On 24 April we notified Outsurance that after the heavy storm in KZN we have damages. Our biggest issue is the boundary wall that fell over and the yard is open for anyone to walk in. Outsurance said :get a local guy: to temporarily fix the wall. Then, when we find someone to do a temp fix Outsurance said no we cannot do that and they won't be sending out the assessor, their contractor will contact us. Short of a long story. WE contacted the Schoeman contractors about 8 times with promises that they will come to inspect from; tomorrow or after two days again tomorrow and then Mondays, not once did they contact us. Last week Thursday my husband phoned Outsurance and told them if Schoeman does not contact us on Monday we will log a complain, they did not contact us. Outsurance even send a mail confirming contractors will phone us on 20th before 12. Nobody phoned. Meanwhile Outsurance raised our monthly premium with more than R200.00 rand, why? Because of our claim for the stove(which we paid our selves and did not claim) and due to this claim for the storm damage. How can they raise the premium if nobody have assessed the damage, and it is not fixed yet>>>They send a mail to say they have dropped with R50.00... why reduce premium after a complaint? Now they say get your own contractor to quote but they will have to forward it to the assessor. Nobody want's to give a quote as Outsurance always take their contractors quote. Now after my husband started complaining Schoeman contractors phoned us, they will send a assessor today (22 May). Nearly a month after we logged the claim. So Schoeman contractors is sending someone to look at the damage, hopefully after a month they will decide to come and do the job. It is unacceptable that Outsurance have 1 contractor to do their claims from Amanzimtoti down the whole of the South Coast. It is unacceptable that Outsurance raise the premie when work is not done yet and stove claim they did not do. It is unacceptable that Outsurance did not follow up with their own Contractors to make sure the claim is done. Biggest question is: Will Schoeman Contractors show up today!!! For sure we will look for alternative insurance!!!

Good day TROUBLES IN LIFE,

What you have described is certainly not the level of service we will tolerate from any of our service providers as well as employees.

Jevon our client liaison manager contacted you to apologise for the delay and he discussed the recourse with you. You will be using your own service provider and you will send us the quote once done.

Regards,
OUTsurance
