Outsurance *****s the little guy
Hello i am desperate for help i recently am having huge issues with out surance
I missed my payment date on 1st of September 2017
I had a piece of equipment ****** and phoned in on the 18th of September 2017 to find out if i was still covered the sales representative told me that i am still covered and that if i phoned in on the 19th of September 2017 she would resubmit the debit order for the full premium thus giving me full cover for the entire month at this point i submitted my claim presuming that i was still covered and that on the 19th of September 2017 that would redebit me for the full premium as thats what i was told by the sales representative my claim then got rejected due to non payment but outsurance had not resubmitted the debit order as the sales representative had told me i have also requested these telephone recordings several times and they are not sending me the recordings of that conversation i had qith the sales representative. This is a huge problem as out surance create thousands of verbal contracts every day but it seems they get to Decide when it suites them as to what they consider a verbally binding contract and what doesn't i need help or advise so i can sort this messs out i am a small business owner who is out R25000.00 with 2 small kids one is 4 years the other is 8 months i can't afford to out lay this money and if i do out lay this cash then i will be putting my family at risk
Good day,
I had a discussion with you a short while ago and you have also had several interactions with Schaun and Daya from our Business Management Team. We have all confirmed that the feedback given to you by our advisor was incorrect. Your payment date and the grace period afforded where you missed a payment had already passed by when your loss occurred. We were wrong to tell you that we could still provide cover for the days that had already gone by. We are very sorry for the incorrect feedback we provided. Our incorrect feedback did not, however, result in any financial loss to you – your loss had already been incurred. We accept responsibility for the incorrect feedback, that has not caused you any financial loss. As we have all discussed several times, we remain with the decision on the claim.
Regards, Kelvin
