Outsurance sales person called me and said that I don't need to pay my Insurance.

Today I received a phone call from Outsurance regarding their promotion. the person who is on the call told me that I don't need to pay a few months of my car insurance if I can recommend a few people from my contact list so that he will contact them and sell them outsurance. After discussing for a few minutes I told him, I don't have any contacts to share who need it at this time and if I found any I will let him know.

I am not sure whether he understood me or not, he started guiding me to my contact list in my phone and asking me to pick few numbers and tell him. I am shocked with his attitude.

I told him without their consent how you want me to send their contact data. When i raised about POPI Act, he was saying their company follows it(I am not sure he knows the act applicable to individuals too). Is this a new way to pull information about people by using the clients? This sounded like a ****, so i just want to raise it here. If it is not a ****, Outsurance should ask for people consent of giving away their data, which is being collected by other clients.
