Outsurance refund not done

I was called by Outsurance because they wanted to try and beat my current insurance. I was promised R1500 f they could not beat my current insurance on my car. It so happened that Outsurance is WAY more expensive than my current insurance and they said that I will now only pay R500, and they will send email , and contact me on the refund, to date nothing has been emailed, or contact has not been made, i am wonderng if the refund is just not true?
