Outsurance Price Lies and Bad Service

It is astonishing how Outsurance advertises that they will beat other insurance companies quotes and "save you money".

My Family and I have been with Outsurance for more than 15 years and only had 1 (ONE) claim in 15 YEARS!!!!!!!

The year before last we bought a 2005 Isusu KB300 double cab and naturally called outsurance for a quote. I was flabbergasted when I received a quote of R1900 per month, when I queried the the amount with the consultant that I spoke to she told me that it was because of the area we lived in, I then advised her that we lived in a quiet little suburb in the far south of JHB where nothing ever happens and that i do not understand why the quote is so much highter than when we had our 2005 Mazda drifter with them some years before and taking into consideration that this vehicle was much newer and we were much younger that the premium was around R530 give or take. I then informed her that I would not me taking insurance from them as we had gotten quotes from another insurer and their premiums were more than R1000 less. The lady then went on by explaining to me how "Bad" the other insurers were.

Some days later another gentleman phoned and tried to lower the premium by increasing the excess. I told him the same thing I told the lady days before and decided to take Outsurance up on the offer of "If they cannot save you money that they would pay you R400". Well, what another disappointment........ all I received was lengthy letter explaining why my claim was not legit.

We bought another vehicle and decided to put it under my Fathers insurance which is outsurance for a premium of R350 per month.... now I sit in another situation where I need to move my car insurance to my name, and again because my car is already with Outsurance I called them again. This time it was even worse..... Not only did I have so spell everything to the lady over and over again, she quoted me a Premium of R873 per month....... R523 MORE than I am currently paying, I advised her of this and her simple question to me was " SO, WHAT DO YOU WANT TO PAY" She then went on to tell me it is because my father is a pensioner and that is why my premium is so low, I understand this and would be fine if the premium was R100 or R200 more but NOT R523.... I then again advised her that other insurers quoted me more than half of her quote and AGAIN she went on to tell me how bad other insurers were.

I asked her that how is it that 4 years earlier I paid only R500 odd for my 320D BMW and now she is quoting me R873 for a Datsun GO???? Her answer to that was "It is because of the price"...................... WHAT THE F@!#$????????? My BMW was almost than R200 000 and my Datsun is only R79 900..... How on earth???!?!?!?!?!?!?

NOW, another question..... I saw another add of outsurance where a 30 year old man driving a 2017 Fortuner pays only around R700 odd per month..... now, I a 34 year old female and Drive a 2014 Datsun Go and they quote me R873...... where is the reasoning to that??????????????

Outsurance is a bunch of thieving ***** and I will NEVER make use of them again!!!!!!!!

My Mistake, the premium for a 30 year old man driving a 2017 Fortuner is only R827 per month..... now, I looked up the value of a 2017 Fortuner and the Cheapest I could find was R390 000. So another question comes to mind.... how do the compare insurance premiums and how does it work if I am quoted R873 for a vehicle that is worth R79 900 and there are premiums advertised at R827 for a vehicle worth R390 000............... that is almost 5 times more than my vehicle, yet i get quoted more?????????????????????????????? This shouts out FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
